COSTA MESA, Calif, Feb. 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- RSM EquiCo, a global investment bank for the private middle market, today announced that Mark Agosto has been promoted to senior vice president of RSM EquiCo Capital Markets, the firm's broker-dealer subsidiary. As senior vice president, Agosto leads a team of investment bankers executing merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, primarily for clients in the firm's Aerospace & Defense practice.
"During his six years with the firm, Mark has demonstrated his ability to successfully lead a wide range of transactions while gaining the confidence of his deal team," said Paul Weisbrich, senior managing director. "Mark, who plays an integral role in our Aerospace & Defense practice, has also advised sell-side and buy-side clients in industries ranging from manufacturing to consumer products."
Agosto joined RSM EquiCo in 2000 as a vice president. Prior to that, he was a vice president with the ARCH Group, a San Francisco based merchant bank, where he facilitated leveraged and management buyouts. He also worked as a mergers and acquisitions principal with Mirus Capital Advisors (formally Ross Crossland Weston), a Boston based middle market investment bank.
Agosto earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a master's degree in business administration with honors in finance from Boston University.
