A Prescription for Long-Lasting Youth -- Author Uses Life Experience to Help Others Enjoy Healthy, Fun Retirement

ATLANTA, March 2, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- With America's health seemingly dwindling with every passing year, the need to preserve it is becoming more and more paramount. Dian Jen hopes to inspire readers to get in shape and enjoy their autumn years with his new book, A Prescription for Long-Lasting Youth: How Else Can a Guy Over 70 and Retired Have So Much Fun!? (now available through AuthorHouse).

After 38 years working in the computer industry, Jen has found retirement to be surprisingly exciting and fun. He and his wife have been enjoying their silver years traveling and living the good life, but it seems that everywhere they go they encounter a large number of seniors struggling with their poor health and disabilities. Feeling fortunate that he and his wife put as much emphasis on preserving their health as amassing wealth, Jen decided to share his secrets with the world through his insightful book.

A Prescription for Long-Lasting Youth focuses on the things that Jen felt helped him stay in good health throughout his successful career: regular vigorous exercise, a healthy diet, sufficient rest and an active sex life. Jen associates real scenarios to address many interesting and relevant issues concerning retirement, sex life, health and fitness, as well as the positive impact living such a healthy lifestyle can have on the aging process. From chapters that outline how to enjoy retirement to exercise tips to sex, the book is a person's guide to a healthy, fruitful new lease on life.

Whether a recent retiree or aging professional, A Prescription for Long-Lasting Youth helps keep readers in the prime of their lives longer.

Born in China, Jen came to the United States in pursuit of an advanced engineering degree. He earned his master's degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University. After his doctoral study, he joined IBM where he worked for 32 years before joining i2 Technologies. Although he has always been active in sports, he did not become serious about exercise until he was 50. Now, 72, he is extremely fit and lives without illness or handicaps. He and his wife live in Atlanta and enjoy an active retirement. A Prescription for Long-Lasting Youth is his first book.
