ATA Airlines Begins New Service between Houston and New York-LaGuardia

Airline is only provider of daily, nonstop flights between Houston-Hobby and New York-LaGuardia


INDIANAPOLIS, March 31, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- On April 2, ATA Airlines, begins non-stop service between Houston-Hobby and New York-LaGuardia with twice-daily flights using modern Boeing 737 jet aircraft. This service will also connect New York to more than 11 destinations via ATA's low-fare partner Southwest Airlines.

"The Houston expansion makes ATA's network available to a part of the country we previously did not serve," said ATA Chief Operating Officer Subodh Karnik. "This service will bring more low-fare choices to customers in places such as San Diego, Albuquerque, Corpus Christi, El Paso, and 7 other cities. They will be able to connect to New York via Houston-Hobby using flights operated by ATA's codeshare partner Southwest Airlines."

Via Houston, codeshare passengers from 11 cities will be able to connect to and from New York-LaGuardia, including: Albuquerque, NM; Austin, TX; Corpus Christi, TX; El Paso, TX; Harlingen/South Padre Island, TX; Midland, TX; New Orleans, LA; Oakland, CA; Phoenix, AZ; San Antonio, TX; San Diego, CA.
