Unique Pizza and Subs' Milwaukee Franchise Narrows Search for First Location

PITTSBURGH, April 20, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation (Pink Sheets:UPZS), a Delaware Corporation, is in the process of finalizing the location of its first store in the Milwaukee market. The franchisee, union lawyer John Budzinski, has been working with a commercial real estate agent to develop a list of 10 potential locations for new stores. With the help of Unique Pizza and Subs' senior management, that list will be narrowed down to 5 target locations within the next week to ten days, with a commitment to move forward with opening approximately sixty days later. "Our plan is to aggressively open as many locations as possible within a 100-mile radius of our first location. We got into this to be a major player in terms of locations. We have confidence in Unique Pizza and Subs' product to get us there," stated Budzinski.

Unique Pizza and Subs' strategy is to grow rapidly through franchising, conversions and acquisitions. "The Milwaukee market has great potential to be one of our largest markets. We know the market well since our Executive Vice President, Bill Vowler, has spent many years living and working there during his career with Honeywell," stated James Vowler, President and CEO of Unique Pizza and Subs of Delaware. The company currently has further franchise openings moving forward in 5 other U.S. markets: Atlanta, GA. Austin, TX, Boston, MA, Chesapeake/Norfolk, VA, and Western Pennsylvania. The company's revenue stream of franchise fees and royalties will increase throughout 2006 with the dramatic growth in locations. Unique Pizza and Subs' ultimate objective to have 1,000 stores open in the near future will be underway by this summer.
