PMAPS 2006, 10th Generation of Leading Edge Proposal Management Software, To Be Released

PMAPS Clients Had Major Impact on Development of Over 150 Enhancements

WESTPORT, Conn., May 2, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- PMAPS(r) 2006, the tenth-generation release of the leading edge proposal management software Proposal Management and Production System (PMAPS(r)), will officially be released on June 1, 2006. The announcement was made today by John A. Laurino, CEO of Proposal Software, Inc., developers of PMAPS(r).

According to Laurino, requests and suggestions by current PMAPS clients had a major impact on the over 150 productivity improvements included in the upgraded version, PMAPS(r) 2006.

"PMAPS(r) has always been about reflecting 'best practices' proposal workflow, rather than the software. We have always stayed intensely focused on the proposal professional team or individual who relies on PMAPS(r), and who truly lives each day with any proposal workflow issues. We've been developing a tool since 1994 to help those professionals do the best job possible.

"In developing this tenth generation of PMAPS(r), we again went directly to our clients' proposal teams for direction. These are highly experienced, seasoned proposal professionals who use PMAPS(r) to turn around high volumes of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) under very tight deadlines. They gave us substantial input that directly led to many of the changes in the latest version."

"Almost every one of our clients contributed to the upgraded version," said Proposal Software, Inc. chief technology officer Steven N. Heffter.

Major improvements in PMAPS(r) 2006 include the following:

-- The Document Assembly module has been completely re-engineered,
from the receipt of the RFP to delivery of any finished RFP or
     customer facing document.

-- PMAPS(r) will now allow proposal teams to create a "library" of
data available to the entire company through the Internet through
the Document Portal. Since PMAPS(r) does not require multiple
licenses for multiple locations, this enables unlimited search
and document retrieval access by every employee in even global
companies, at no additional cost. As with all PMAPS(r) features,
this separate Web portal application requires minimal IT support
     and zero user programming.

-- The contact management module, which until now has been
integrated with Outlook, is now also integrated with the
individual or team calendar function in Lotus Notes.

-- PMAPS(r) 2006 includes a "data bridge" that pulls data from any
external CRM source, including InterAction, Salesforce.com,
Saleslogix.com, Siebel, SAP, Microsoft CRM, and NetSuite, among
others. Direct integration is also available for many of these
CRM solutions which allows any screen from these applications to
     opened directly within PMAPS(r) 2006.

-- A host of new search features has been added to PMAPS(r)'s
trademarked SmartSearch functionality, providing PMAPS(r) 2006
users with "best in class" search capabilities.

"Our company, Proposal Software, Inc., is totally focused on developing and servicing proposal management software," said Laurino. "Because proposals are becoming more frequent, more complex and more important to the sales and marketing function, we see a greater need to stay committed to providing cutting edge solutions for proposal professionals."
