Sheffield Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:SLD) continues drilling at their Moonlight copper project in northern California, pulling numbers like the recent announcement of 97.5 metres of 1.08% copper. Placer Dome first drilled the deposit in the 1960s and kept it on their development portfolio until they switched to a pure gold focus in 1993. Sheffield's president, David Jenkins, was with Placer Dome at the time, and didn't forget about the holding. Now the company is working to prove-up and expand the historic resource. They've expanded the project, too, through staking and acquiring additional ground in the area.
