TASER Device Ends United Kingdom Hostage Situation

According to news reports from the BBC out of the United Kingdom, a 39-year-old knife-wielding man attacked a worker and held another hostage at the Summerfold Medical Center in Burgess Hill, West Sussex Monday. The man, who cut a staff member before taking another hostage, refused to cooperate with officials and after five hours of failed negotiations, was subdued with a TASER device and taken into police custody.

The hostage was extremely shaken but was unharmed.
