Long Island Board of Realtors Prove "We're More Than Realtors"

LONG ISLAND, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 1, 2006 -- Until recently, it took Angel DiGiovanni considerable effort to leave home for important doctor visits. Thanks to Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR) and the LI Chapter of Rebuilding Together, the wheelchair-bound Deer Park resident now has a ramp that enables her to come and go from her home with ease.

Recently LIBOR Realtor® members donated time to work with Rebuilding Together LI to build the ramp so DiGiovanni is able to receive medical attention she needs. "LIBOR and Rebuilding Together LI have made my dream come true," explains DiGiovanni. "Words cannot express the gratitude I feel to be able to receive the medical care I need after being home bound for so many weeks."

The donation by LIBOR supports this year's campaign "We're More Than Realtors®" spearheaded by LIBOR's PR committee. "Our members' efforts prove 'We're More Than Realtors®.' We are thrilled to support great achievements of organizations that are committed to LI," said Gil Picard, President of LIBOR. "LIBOR is much more than a professional organization; we are a community that seeks to make a difference in the neighborhoods where we do business."

Earlier this summer LIBOR donated $15,000 so Rebuilding Together LI can fulfill its mission to rebuild homes and lives of people in need. "We are dedicated to restoring homes so homeowners can live in comfort with dignity and independence," said Harold Feldman, Executive Director of Rebuilding Together LI.

"Ms. DiGiovanni's story is a wonderful example of how professional organizations make a difference," said Frank Urso, chairman of LIBOR's PR committee. "There is nothing more gratifying than working with organizations, such as Rebuilding Together, to make communities a better place to live."
