SDG&E Enhances Electronic Billing Options

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) now is offering customers the option to receive an electronic version of their utility bill online, from a single site, such as their bank, credit union, brokerage firm or favorite Web portal.

"Many customers prefer the ease and convenience of paperless, online billing and payment, so we're pleased to offer this option," said Michelle Mueller, vice president of customer service at SDG&E. "With electronic billing, customers can receive and pay their monthly bill online anywhere at anytime."

Electronic payments can be scheduled in advance to be delivered promptly, securely and on time, eliminating the need to remember when to mail the payment.

To start receiving e-Bills, customers at SDG&E are asked to check with their banking institution or bill-payment site to see if they offer this service, then follow the enrollment procedures.

In addition to receiving and paying their SDG&E energy bill from their bank, credit union, brokerage firm or favorite Web portal, customers also can view and pay their energy bills at SDG&E's Web site, www.sdge.com. At the site, customers can take advantage of other online services offered by SDG&E, including free home energy analysis to help lower their energy bills.
