Morris, Manning & Martin Partner to Moderate 'Preparing for an M&A Exit' Panel


ATLANTA, Jan. 12, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Technology executives who have successfully sold their companies will share their experiences on a panel entitled "Preparing for an M&A Exit: Practical Advice for Technology Entrepreneurs from Experienced Executives & Advisors." The event is set for Thursday, January 25, from 7:15 to 10:00 a.m.

John Yates, Chair of the Technology Group at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP will moderate the mergers and acquisitions panel. It will be presented by the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) in partnership with Morris, Manning & Martin and Croft & Bender.

Panelists for the event, which is open to Atlanta-area entrepreneurs, include:


 * VistaScape Security Systems Chairman and CEO Glenn McGonnigle.
   VistaScape was recently acquired by Siemens Building
   Technologies, Inc.;
 * Georgia Technology Hall of Fame member Said Mohammadioun. A
   serial entrepreneur, he sold Synchrologic to Pumatech in 2003. He
   also sold his prior company to Lotus/IBM;
 * Vice President of Finance & Administration Doug Guess, who was part
   of the executive team that recently sold Employease to Automatic
   Data Processing (ADP);
 * Steve Hufford, a director with Croft & Bender, who has extensive
   M&A experience as a technology executive and investment banker.

Topics are expected to include current M&A trends and recent transactions; active buyers and current deal terms; being prepared at all times for an M&A exit; using Legal Project Management for M&A deals; working with advisors to better manage the transaction and maximize a company's value.
