Veteran Metro Detroit, Downriver Restaurant Operators Agree to Open Five Johnny's Lunch in Metro Detroit, 12 in Lansing, 20 in Toledo

DETROIT, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 9, 2007 -- The Guerro Family of Northville, MI, operators
of a trio of quality restaurants in Plymouth, MI and Wyandotte, MI, will
open up to 17 Johnny's Lunch in the Western Detroit Suburbs, Downriver,
Monroe and Lansing, MI and another 20 in Toledo, OH. Johnny's Lunch is a
71-year-old dining icon from Jamestown, NY that has launched a national
expansion.
Nick Guerro, managing partner of The Guerro Group, operators of Station 885
Plymouth, Porto Fino, Wyandotte and LaBistecca, Plymouth and Anthony
Calamunci, president of Johnny's Lunch, and grandson of the Johnny's
founder Johnny Colera, announced the expansion agreement.
Guerro and his partners Robert and Jerry Costanza plan to open Johnny's
Lunch in Northville, Plymouth, Monroe and Downriver plus 12 units in the
Lansing area and 20 in Toledo area. Johnny's features a menu of Johnny's
Hots and Johnny's Burgers that are sold in increments of three (Threebees®)
and takeouts of 30's, 60's, 90's and 120's at a reasonable price along with
Johnny's Fries, Johnny's Rice Pudding, Johnny's Shakes and other menu
items.
Calamunci, his brother John, and George Goulson, chief development officer,
and a veteran franchise development expert, launched a national expansion
program last Fall, and since that time have announced agreements to build
over 100 units in Michigan and Ohio and have projected a goal of 500 units
by 2009,and are registered to franchise restaurants in all 50 states. A
national contract with Coca-Cola Bottling Division also was announced
recently.
Calamunci added that the original Johnny's in southwestern New York has
developed an almost cult-like following with a number of celebrities such
as country and western singer-actor Kenny Rogers making periodic visits to
the restaurant.
