Russell Public Relations Senior Associate Earns Accreditation, Promoted to Vice President

Ten-Year-Old Company Only Wichita-Area PR Firm With Two 'APRs'

WICHITA, Kan., May 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Russell Public Relations (http://www.russellpr.com) (RPR) senior associate Lynn Woolf has earned accreditation in public relations (APR). RPR is the only Wichita-area public relations firm with two PR counselors who have earned the APR distinction. Carolyn Russell, the company's founder, has been accredited since 1994.

The APR is the only professional certification program open to public relations professionals and has only been earned by about 20 percent of PRSA's 21,000 members nationwide. The designation is awarded by the Public Relations Society of America. The examination measures a practitioner's knowledge in communication theory, planning, management and ethics.

Woolf has more than 15 years' experience as a journalist and in public relations. She has written and researched extensively on technology, travel, education and science -- and managed PR programs and media relations on a local and national level. She has been a member of the RPR team for nine years.

"This designation further validates Lynn's -- and our company's -- commitment to the highest ethical standards and best business practices," says company president Carolyn Russell.
