KMA Global Solutions International Names Veteran Industry Executive, Scott E. Dixon, to the Role of President

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, May 14, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- KMA Global Solutions International, Inc. (OTCBB:KMAG) (Frankfurt:VVS) today announced that Scott E. Dixon has been named President of the company.

Mr. Dixon came to KMA early last year to lead the company's new business development efforts following a long career in the EAS industry, principally as Managing Director (President) of Sensormatic Electronics Corporation's Canadian division (now part of Tyco Fire & Security). While leading that company to one of the most enviable market share and profitability positions in Sensormatic's global enterprise, he brought the concept of source tagging to the Canadian retail community and subsequently oversaw the development or implementation of a number of very successful source tagging programs on behalf of Sensormatic's many retail customers, including The Hudson's Bay Company, Wal-Mart Canada, Club Monaco (now Ralph Lauren), SAAN Stores and Future Shop (now part of Best Buy). He was also among the first to endorse KMA's original source tagging solutions to the retail community.

Said Jeffrey D. Reid, CEO of KMA Global Solutions International, Inc., "As we begin to accelerate the pace of our strategic plan, including the expansion of our sales, manufacturing and distribution capabilities internationally, we are very pleased to have Mr. Dixon take on this important role. His extensive industry experience will provide the leadership KMA needs to continue to meet our strategic goals both and now and for the future."

In recent years, retailers have increasingly demanded retail floor ready merchandise, which includes Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) protection. Under KMA's source tagging program, security tags are embedded in products or affixed to packaging at the point-of-manufacture. The company's patented NEXTag(tm), a low cost sewn-in solution designed for all types of apparel including swimsuits, intimate apparel and jeans, represents the latest technology in source tagging and has experienced widespread adoption by apparel manufacturers throughout the world.
