Soy Environmental Products' Subsidiary, MetaPower Canada, Signs Contracts Valued at $3.75 Million With Major Canadian Oil Sands Company


LAS VEGAS, May 15, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Soy Environmental Products, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SYVR) announced today that the Company's subsidiary, MetaPower Canada, has signed two contracts with a combined value of $3.75 million US with a major Canadian oil sands company. MetaPower Canada will provide Project Management and Management Staffing support for their oil extraction facilities in the oil sands region of Northern Alberta.

The Management and Staffing Support contract is valued at $2.25 million US and provides Management and Maintenance Planning Staff for the company's oil sands refinery. The Project Management contract is valued at $1.5 million US. These contracts commit MetaPower Canada to support the company through the end of 2007. The projects include an assessment of the client's Process Safety Management Program and includes the development of recommendations to improve the overall program.

MetaPower Canada's client has grown to become a major North American energy producer and marketer with a team of more than 5,500 employees. Near Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, the company extracts and upgrades oil sands into high-quality refinery-ready crude oil products and diesel fuel.
