ST. LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - July 23, 2007) - Social Solutions, nationally recognized for
empowering human service providers and the organizations that fund them to
strategically tie their efforts to measurable outcomes, and Catholic Family
Services (CFS) will co-sponsor the symposium "Non-Profit Evolution: A More
Strategic Approach to Impacting Lives" on July 25, 2007, in St. Louis. The
program will tackle tough issues facing nonprofits today, including
compliance reporting challenges and assessing demonstrable impact, and will
introduce best practices and strategies to support improved performance by
enhancing communication between service providers and funding
organizations.
The symposium will feature guest speakers from the sponsoring organizations
and key related entities. Attendees will learn how CFS is enhancing its
capacity, performance, and community impact through the use of ETO (Efforts
to Outcomes) Software and other productivity enhancements to align the
delivery of its services with its organizational mission and external
reporting needs. Additionally, attendees will hear how the dialog between
service providers and funding organizations is evolving to support a more
strategic approach to impacting the lives of those in need.
Dr. Jerry L. Marks, executive director, Catholic Family Services, will
deliver the welcome and opening address. Marks said, "The ETO approach has
helped us better focus our time and energy helping people with pressing
needs. At the same time, it has allowed our staff and supporters to gain
better insight into which of our efforts are having the greatest desired
impact on people's lives."
In addition to Marks, other symposium speakers will include:
Julie Russell, MSW, LCSW
Director of Continuous Quality Improvement
Catholic Family Services
Jim Williamson
Vice President
Excellence in Missouri Foundation
Nancy DeFauw
Principal
Practical Philanthropy Group
Kate Robinson
Director of Advocacy
Social Solutions
After sharing their respective presentations, the speakers will convene as
a panel to answer specific questions from symposium participants.
"Catholic Family Services has shown great leadership in advancing the way
service agencies conduct and report on their critical activities," said
Steve Butz, President/Founder, Social Solutions. "As we stand with them to
share the valuable lessons they've learned, we hope to facilitate a dialog
between service providers and funding organizations that is more focused on
demonstrable impact. This will lead to a more effective allocation of
funds and a better world."
About Social Solutions and ETO Software®
Social Solutions challenges and equips human service providers and their
funders to turn good intent into measurable change by relating efforts to
outcomes. The company's ETO (Efforts to Outcomes) reporting software
replaces one-size-fits-all data tracking with a reporting system tailored
to the unique mission of each nonprofit organization. ETO Software®
generates a clear and accurate measure of impact to improve service
delivery, earn more funding, and reduce the time and resources dedicated to
tracking performance.
