RouteMatch Software Announces $1.6 Million Intelligent Transportation System Contract With the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority

RIPTA Using RouteMatch's Full Range of ITS Solutions to Manage Its Paratransit Service, Comprising 148 Vehicles and 3,500 Trips per Day


ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - July 25, 2007) - RouteMatch Software, Inc. today announced that it will provide its full range of intelligent transportation system solutions to help the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) and its RIde program better coordinate and meet the state's growing transportation service needs now and into the future. Valued at over $1.6 million, this contract positions RIPTA to provide citizens with the latest transportation technologies to improve efficiencies, save operating costs and enhance customer service.

RIPTA turned to RouteMatch Software to make significant improvements to its technological infrastructure and provide a system that would be flexible and scalable enough to meet long-term transportation demands. RIPTA will use RouteMatch's software solutions to deploy an integrated Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) that will include advanced GIS-based paratransit scheduling software, new Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Automated Vehicle Location/Mobile Data Communication (AVL/MDC) technologies.

RouteMatch's ITS technologies will allow RIPTA to automate, in real-time, the scheduling and dispatching of all vehicles, coordination with state agencies, vehicle and driver management, invoicing, reporting and communication with riders.
