Finance Attorney Barry Biggar Joins King & Spalding


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 6, 2008) - King & Spalding, a leading international law firm, announced today that Barry P. Biggar, a prominent lawyer who concentrates on structured financial products in both banking and capital markets, has joined the firm as a partner in its finance group. He will be resident in the firm's New York office.

Biggar, a former partner with Allen & Overy LLP, has been in practice for over 20 years and focuses on representing financial institutions in complex structured and asset-based financings. He has particular expertise in representing issuers, underwriters and placement agents of registered 144A-eligible and privately placed debt securities.

In addition, Biggar specializes in aircraft finance transactions and represented Air 2 US in Air Finance Journal's 1999 Deal of the Year and Iberia in the 2004 Deal of the Year. He has been identified by Air Finance Journal as one of the leading aviation lawyers in North America.

Biggar earned a B.S. degree at Manhattan College and a J.D. degree at Pace University School of Law.
