A Year's Worth of Memories -- Author David Fredette Shares His Life and Experience Through Amazing Poetry

STAMFORD, Conn., March 28, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Many things can happen in the space of a year -- both ordinary and extraordinary events that help shape our lives. For author David Fredette, Latent Heat, a collection of his poems, represents his journey during the past year. Through poetry, he invites readers to share in his experiences and his life -- and in the process, making them examine their own lives.

Latent Heat has to do with phase change. Energy has to be either released or absorbed when change happens. The same is true in life. For change to occur, we often have to let go, to go beyond our comfort zone, to explore new things and to keep an open mind. The author shares his ongoing life through his wonderful poetry -- through which he expresses his thoughts, ideas, and feelings over the course of one year. He describes significant events, as well as mundane ones, but all of which give readers a glimpse into his life.

The poetry in Fredette's anthology is interwoven with his whimsical nature, with topics that vary from one poem to the next. As he describes daily and weekly life, he also shares positive coping strategies that will help one survive hard times. Latent Heat will make an excellent addition to your poetry collection. About the Author

David Fredette is presently in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) trade, and has a past -- in the merchant marines. He was raised, as the last of ten children, by Robert and Doris Fredette. The sea was not more than a block away, growing up on Long Island. Its influence helped him decide on charting a course through S.U.N.Y. Maritime, at Fort Schuyler, NY, after gaining an interest in poetry at S.U.N.Y. Morrisville College. Several years were spent as an engineering officer at sea, on oil tankers, and research vessels. But, success was followed by setbacks, when he found himself in the hospital due to Bipolar Disorder. He recovered, and continues to improve with a good treatment regimen, family support, working full time, and pursuing goals (some small, some larger). David now lives in Connecticut.
