SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 16, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The TASER Foundation for Fallen Officers again is partnering with 24/7 Cop2Cop News to support the second annual Drive to Remember for Fallen Officers, a two-week rolling memorial to remember the 190 law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty throughout the U.S. and Canada in 2007. This year's Drive to Remember will begin April 30 in Vancouver, British Columbia, head south to Los Angeles, then east across the United States culminating on May 13 at the beginning of the Police Week celebrations in Washington D.C.
The Drive to Remember will feature the Guardian One, a dedicated Hummer H3 completely wrapped in law enforcement graphics to honor those officers who were killed in 2007. Over the fourteen days, the Guardian One will travel more than 5000 miles, receiving law enforcement escorts across two countries, one province, 19 states, and in 25 major cities. The Guardian One will also make appearances at numerous special events scheduled along the route to remember the heroic lives of fallen officers.
