Tensoft Adds Production Floor Capabilities to Tensoft(R) FSM

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - July 14, 2008) - Tensoft, a leading ERP and supply chain solution provider for the semiconductor industry, announced today that SEMICOA of Costa Mesa, CA has successfully implemented Tensoft Fabless Semiconductor Manufacturing (FSM), including new Tensoft FSM features designed specifically to support semiconductor production floor management. The integrated ERP and supply chain solution, which was implemented by Tensoft and is being hosted by Tensoft, is optimized to increase profitability, improve customer service and manage production with greater visibility and control. The new functionality expanded Tensoft's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) functionality, and added additional costing features.

This implementation marks the first time a traditional semiconductor manufacturer -- one which creates only its own products in-house -- is using Tensoft FSM, which was originally developed exclusively for the fabless semiconductor industry. "The fabless model requires 'MES light' capabilities to track product genealogy, yield, cycle time, and cost -- product information which is still required, even if production is outsourced. In-house manufacturing requires more detailed collection, support and analysis for production floor data as well," said Tensoft CEO Bob Scarborough.
