(Nasdaq:FOOD) is making this announcement to eliminate its misidentification with Pierre Foods, Inc., the entity that was previously traded under the ticker symbol "FOOD." There is no relationship between Vaughan Foods, Inc. and Pierre Foods, Inc.

Vaughan Foods, Inc. (CUSIP: 92241M107) was assigned the symbol "FOOD" by the NASDAQ Capital Market upon its listing on July 27, 2007.

The symbol "FOOD" had been abandoned by Pierre Foods, Inc. when it was acquired by PF Management Inc. on August 13, 2002.

Again, Vaughan Foods wishes to make it clear that it is not related to Pierre Foods, Inc. in any way, and asks that market data redistributors check their databases to ensure that they are properly showing the FOOD symbol for Vaughan Foods, Inc.
