TAMPA, Fla., July 28, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Quality Distribution, Inc. (the "Company" or "QDI") (Nasdaq:QLTY) today reported the appointment of Stephen R. Attwood as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Attwood was most recently Vice President and Corporate Controller of Swift Transportation, a $3 billion truckload carrier, from 2002-2007. While at Swift, he strengthened the finance organization and drove operational improvements, which enhanced cash flow and operating margins. Additionally, Mr. Attwood has also held senior management positions with Dell Computer and AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) in the past. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Arizona State University.
