(Pink Sheets:MCII) reports a second commercial order for its product line will be shipped in September 2008, to eZone, the Caribbean distribution partner out of Trinidad, following extensive product testing and marketing in the region.
The reaction to the MC product line has been very positive from the commercial and retail marine operators, as well as commercial tourism facilities. As the Caribbean Islands all rely heavily on the tourism industry, the concerns of the environment and waste management are paramount, and MC products provide eco-solutions to a number of their issues. This second shipment is particularly significant because it follows in-market experiences and the fact that economic and operating conditions in the Caribbean are shared by several warm weather countries that are sensitive to environmental impacts. Changing water and conservation governing laws are creating distribution opportunities for MC.
The placement of MC products into this region is a strategic progression southward in the hemisphere. Since last year, the company has been consistently expanding its capability to develop a larger distribution network. Initially, MC was focused on the North American markets, moving southward to the Caribbean, and now making progress into Central and South America. Introduction into Costa Rica has been initiated, and products are anticipated to be shipped within the next three months. Discussions with Brazilian representatives are on-going as well.
