BODIES...The Exhibition Returns to Atlanta

Critically-Acclaimed Exhibition Opens This November At the Premier Exhibition Center in Atlantic Station

ATLANTA, Oct. 17, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Premier Exhibitions, Inc. (Nasdaq:PRXI) announced today, that due to public demand, the most successful exhibition to visit Atlanta will make a triumphant return this November. BODIES...The Exhibition, which has now been seen by more than 10 million visitors, will open Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Premier Exhibition Center in Atlantic Station -- joining the city's newest blockbuster exhibition Dialog in the Dark. Both exhibitions will be open daily from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

"Atlanta is in the midst of a cultural attraction bonanza, with a total of five world class exhibitions opening here this year," states Arnie Geller, President and CEO of Premier Exhibitions. "With the Atlanta return of BODIES...The Exhibition, Premier Exhibitions is proud to present three of them, including Titanic Aquatic at the Georgia Aquarium and Dialog in the Dark at the Premier Exhibition Center in Atlantic Station."

The return of BODIES...The Exhibition to Atlanta marks the first time the provocative exhibition has revisited a host city. Nearly 400,000 visitors experienced "BODIES" during its highly successful 2006 run, often generating sell out crowds or long lines. Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at www.bodiestickets.com to avoid any delays.

BODIES...The Exhibition features more than 250 real, whole and partial human body specimens providing an up-close look inside the skeletal, muscular, reproductive, respiratory, circulatory and other systems of the human body. These specimens have been meticulously dissected and preserved through an innovative process that gives individuals the opportunity to view the complexity of their own organs and systems like never before.

Many of the whole body specimens are dissected in vivid athletic poses, allowing the visitor to relate to everyday activities. Other specimens dramatically illustrate the damage caused to organs by unhealthy behavior, such as over-eating and lack of exercise. A healthy lung is featured next to a black lung ravaged by smoking in a vivid comparison more powerful than any textbook image.

The real human body specimens in the exhibition are preserved through a revolutionary technique called polymer preservation. In this process, human tissue is permanently preserved using liquid silicone rubber that is treated and hardened. The end result is a rubberized specimen, preserved to the cellular level, showcasing the complexity of the body's many bones, muscles, nerves, blood vessels and organs. The full-body specimens can take more than a year to prepare.
