WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 30, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WSFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:WSFS), the parent company of WSFS Bank, today announced a partnership with the Sunday Breakfast Mission to sponsor the 2008 Great Thanksgiving Food Drive. Since 1893, when the Mission began its ministry in Delaware, it has "provided rest for the body and peace for the soul" of the homeless. WSFS Bank has sponsored the Great Thanksgiving Food Drive since 2003.
Beginning on Monday, October 27, WSFS Bank will be collecting non-perishable food donations at all WSFS banking offices statewide, including offices in downstate Delaware. Donated food will be used to fill more than 700 family food packages. The food drive will conclude on Saturday, December 6.
