Emulex Appoints Steve Daheb as Chief Marketing Officer

COSTA MESA, Calif., Dec. 8, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced the appointment of Steve Daheb to the role of company chief marketing officer (CMO). In this position, Daheb will lead the company's unified global marketing initiatives, including product and solution marketing, corporate business development, strategic alliances and routes to market. Daheb reports directly to Emulex chief operations officer (COO), Jeff Benck.

In his previous position as senior vice president of marketing and business development at BlueArc, Daheb helped the company expand its position as a leading supplier of high performance NAS systems, including a tripling of its revenues over the most-recently completed two fiscal years, expansion of the company's vertical market focus and the addition of key OEM partners. Daheb has experience in Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Networks (SANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Local Area Networks (LANs) and Virtual Private Networks (VPN), providing him with a thorough understanding of the IT Industry as a whole.
