PHOENIX, Dec. 8, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U-Haul recently announced the promotion of Steve Hansen to District 16 Area District Vice President (ADVP). Hansen brings proven leadership skills and management experience to his new position, where he will be responsible for overseeing U-Haul operations in Wisconsin and parts of Illinois and Indiana.

Hansen began his U-Haul career in October 1994 as a customer service representative (CSR) for U-Haul Center Waukegan. In December 1996, Hansen was promoted to assistant general manager for U-Haul West Greenville. In February 1997, Hansen was promoted to general manager (GM) of U-Haul Center Morton Grove. In May 1998, Hansen transferred to the U-Haul Company Northwest Chicago Suburbs as an area field manager (AFM). In March 2001, Hansen transferred to U-Haul Company of Northshore Chicago where he spent two years working in various positions including: senior manager, traffic control manager (TCM) and AFM. In September 2003, Hansen was promoted to marketing company president (MCP) of U-Haul Company Eastern Wisconsin, the position he held until he was named ADVP. Today, Hansen will oversee U-Haul operations for District 16.
