The Junior League of Orange County Spring Fundraiser Features International-Style Excitement At Its 'Casino Royale'


NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Dec. 16, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- "Casino Royale" is the theme of the Junior League of Orange County, Inc. (JLOCC), Spring Fundraiser. The event will be held 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2009, in the showroom of the Ford Motor Company, 1 Premier Place, Irvine. Tickets are priced at $75.00 per person, and glamorous attire is suggested.

This will be a night of gaming tables, dancing and fabulous silent auction items. The international theme will be carried out in the night's cuisine of heavy appetizers and cocktails. An opportunity drawing will offer the chance to win $10,000.

Last year's event earned net proceeds of $42,000. Close to 300 people attended. According to event chair, Michelle Berger, "We look forward to an amazing night of coming together to raise money for our deserving projects, while experiencing the excitement this event will hold."

Funds raised annually by the JLOCC directly impact the community through collaborative projects with partner organizations and support JLOCC's mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community. This year's projects include the Kinship Project and Bridges to Higher Education, two programs offered through Orangewood Children's Foundation; Higher Education Mentoring Program (in partnership with the Orange County Bar Foundation); Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Emancipated Youth Program; and Bear Hugs, a JLOCC project supporting emancipated teens in Orange County.
