Z-Wave Alliance Showcases Brand-New Energy Management, Home Security and Home Control Solutions at CES 2009

30 Z -Wave Alliance Members to Feature Affordable Interoperable Home Control Products for Consumer Energy Management and Savings


LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - January 8, 2009) - CES 2009 -- The Z-Wave Alliance welcomes in the New Year with exciting new partnership and product announcements trumpeted at the International Consumer Electronic's Show (CES) 2009, the world's largest consumer technology show. Alliance member companies will showcase for the first time new, affordable energy management, home security and home control solutions in the Alliance booth, #20619. As consumers search for simple and convenient ways to save money in 2009, the Z-Wave Alliance will continue to provide an array of affordable energy management and home automation products that work together to create a smart and efficient connected home.

Featured in the Alliance booth, are new products and information from 4Home Inc., Homemanageables, Leviton, Schlage, Universal Electronics Inc., Wayne-Dalton, Black & Decker, Skyco Shade, Teckniku, EWIG, Electronic Housekeeper, Hawking Technologies, Goodway Technologies, and BuLogics Inc. Other Z-Wave Alliance members will be demonstrating new products at other locations in the convention center.

Kicking off Alliance news at the show, is the recent acquisition of Zensys, the developer of the Z-Wave standard, by Sigma Designs, a leader in digital media processor SoC's for consumer electronics, providing more opportunities for growth. The acquisition will combine the Zensys RF chip expertise with Sigma Designs System-on-Chip components to provide RF technology in future home control remotes and set top boxes.
