eGames Builds Puzzle City for Nintendo DS With Destineer

Casual Puzzle Arcade Game Breaks Retail Ground May 27

LANGHORNE, Pa., May 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Casual games developer and publisher eGames, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EGAM), announced today the North American launch of Puzzle City(tm) for Nintendo DS(tm) on May 27. Published by Destineer, Puzzle City follows Burger Island(r) for Wii(tm) as the second game released by eGames and Destineer in as many months.

"Introducing our portfolio of proprietary titles to new audiences and consoles remains one of eGames' top priorities," said eGames Vice President, Sales and Marketing Rich Siporin. "As with Burger Island on Wii and Nintendo DS, Destineer continues to serve as an invaluable partner in this endeavor."

According to Scott Steinberg of Gamezebo.com, "Puzzle City combines the best that construction sims and head-scratching mindbenders have to offer into a single, spectacular outing -- and in a way that's completely original and innovative to boot." Under the watchful eye of real estate maven Mz. Towers, the player will use stylus-based controls to assemble buildings including homes, factories, shopping malls, schools, and fire stations from color-coded construction blocks. With the help of Biff and his construction crew, the player utilizes power-ups to bulldoze unnecessary buildings, break up or detonate construction pieces, and spray paint new colors across multiple stages, including snow-covered mountains, deserts, swamps, and a lunar colony.

Previously published for Nintendo DS by rondomedia in the German speaking territories, Puzzle City precedes the release of Wii and Nintendo DS versions of fashion-themed time management game Satisfashion later this year.
