The ACORD Awards recognize outstanding achievements for standards implementations that highlight business value, business opportunities and trading partners. Blue Frog won a Shared Service/Outsourcer or Infrastructure Platform/Middleware award.
ACORD bestows these awards on any organization that provides shared services or an infrastructure platform that enhances the utilization or eases the implementation of ACORD standards. According to ACORD, a shared service is defined as a business process automation that is centrally installed and accessed by multiple insurers; an infrastructure platform is defined as a software product that is installed and used by an insurer.
To win the award, Blue Frog Solutions demonstrated that it implemented ACORD XML standards for integration with its business services and implemented a minimum of five ACORD transactions using any final version of an ACORD XML specification. Blue Frog also had to demonstrate specific transactions used within the process, and each transaction in the process must be certified.
