Renasant Tennessee Chairman Frank Cianciola Announces Retirement


TUPELO, Miss., June 1, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Renasant Corporation (Nasdaq:RNST) (the "Company") today announced that Frank J. Cianciola, Chairman of Renasant Bank's Tennessee Division, retired from his position as a member of Renasant's senior management team and resigned from the Company's corporate and bank board of directors effective May 31, 2009.

Assuming the management responsibilities of Renasant's West Tennessee Division will be Rick Hart. Hart is currently Renasant's Tennessee Division President and is a director on Renasant's corporate board. He will oversee Renasant's West and Middle Tennessee divisions. Carol Russell will continue to serve as President of the Memphis Retail Division.
