Iowa Network Services Protects Advanced IPTV Wholesale System With Verimatrix Security

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - July 21, 2009) - Verimatrix, setting the standard in content security technologies that enhance the value of pay-TV networks, today announced that Iowa Network Services (INS) has deployed the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS™) for IPTV to protect its IPTV wholesale network with a combination of central and local linear content provisioning. INS, which represents a network of independent telephone companies that provides telecommunications services to rural Iowans, is currently using the Verimatrix security system via its Digital Entertainment Television platform to nine local operators and more than 25,000 set-top boxes (STBs) across Iowa.
