Overview: This session is designed for application developers relatively
unfamiliar with the basic constructs and functions of Solr and the
underlying Lucene libraries. Session 1 focuses on the basics of getting
Solr up and running, importing appropriate data to index, and understanding
end-to-end search processes. By the end of the course, students will have
Solr installed, their data successfully imported and indexed, and an
understanding on how query handlers retrieve the desired results.

Overview: This session expands on the topics covered in Solr Essentials 1.
It focuses on key features of Solr and ways to make searches more relevant
and effective. Students will be introduced to operating principles of
faceting, tuning, query analysis, and relevance. By the end of the course,
attendees will gain basic hands-on experience with Solr's most powerful
options.
