eGames Digs Up Dutton Books for Dracula Files Promotion

Publisher of Special Edition of Classic Novel Supports Vampire Adventure Game Campaign

LANGHORNE, Pa., Sept. 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Casual games publisher and developer eGames, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EGAM) announced today that book publisher Dutton Books, a division of Penguin Group (USA), will support ongoing promotions for The Dracula Files, a Gothic hidden object adventure scheduled for release this fall. Dutton Books is supplying eGames with vampire-themed books including copies of a new special edition of the classic novel, Dracula by Bram Stoker, to be used as prizes in Dracula Files-related contests.

With an expected online release by early October, eGames continues to build excitement for The Dracula Files through its ongoing developer blog on Gamezebo.com, Twitter account at www.twitter.com/draculafiles, Facebook page, and contests featuring copies of The Complete Dracula #1 comic book from Dynamite Entertainment.

"Vampires are obviously a hot commodity right now, and both eGames and Dutton Books have a vested interest in growing awareness for the granddaddy vampire of them all, Dracula," said eGames Product Manager Greg Zesinger. "We are thrilled to partner with Dutton Books to award some absolutely fang-tastic pieces of vampire literature to casual game and Dracula fans, while continuing to enhance exposure for The Dracula Files."

In the coming weeks, eGames will launch contests featuring books including the new special edition of Dracula. Designed as a facsimile of the original first edition published in 1897, the new edition launches at retail on September 24. Additional information on the book can be found at http://www.tinyurl.com/draculabook. Further contests are planned for The Dracula Files release online this fall.

"Bram Stoker's Dracula is revered as the epitome of the horror novel, and has been an inspiration to the genre for more than a hundred years," said Dutton Marketing Manager Carrie Swetonic. "We are excited to partner with eGames to expose the true original classic-and one of the greatest villains of all time-to a new audience."
