LAS VEGAS, Oct. 25, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The new nonstop daily flight between Las Vegas and London Heathrow launches today with the arrival of British Airways' B777 at McCarran International Airport.
And with the launch of the new air service, the airline will offer a four-day introductory sale for its Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller cabins. The sale begins Monday morning, Oct. 26, and will expire Thursday midnight, Oct. 29, Pacific Daylight time. Roundtrip fares to London will be priced at $276 for World Traveller, $936 for World Traveller Plus and $3136 for Club World.
Five European cities have been common rated from Las Vegas with roundtrip fares to Paris, Milan, Rome, Madrid and Athens all the same at $358 in the World Traveller (economy) cabin.
All introductory roundtrip fares are valid for travel from Nov. 2 through Dec. 20, 2009, and then Dec. 24, 2009, through March 28, 2010. Government taxes and fees, fuel surcharges and the $2.50 Sept. 11 Security Fee are additional; other restrictions apply.
Complementing the airfare sale, BA Holidays is offering inclusive "city breaks" packages to London, Paris and Rome starting at $769 per person for roundtrip air and three nights' accommodation.
The new daily flights operate exclusively to and from Heathrow's Terminal 5 by the three-class Boeing 777 offering Club World (business class), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy). The Club World cabin offers seats that convert to 180-degree flat beds.

British Airways' B777 is configured with 36 Club World seats, 24 World Traveller Plus seats and 214 World Traveller seats. World Traveller Plus features a separate cabin with 38-inch pitch seats with in-seat power for personal computers, cd/dvd players or the like.
Customers flying in British Airways' Club World will experience the airline's award-winning business class featuring the six-foot long, fully flat beds, the Club Kitchen and an on demand flight entertainment system.
The daily eastbound flight, BA274, departs McCarran International Airport's Terminal 2 at 8:20 p.m. and arrives at London Heathrow Airport at 2:05 p.m. the following day. The westbound flight, BA275, departs Terminal 5, Heathrow, at 3:30 p.m. and arrives back at Las Vegas at 6:20 p.m. the same afternoon.
In addition to the sale fares and special inclusive packages, originating Las Vegas customers also may take advantage of the wide variety of hotel, car rental, sightseeing and other travel amenities available through British Airways Holidays -- all available for purchase at the airline's website, www.ba.com.
In addition to passengers and their baggage, the British Airways 777 will carry up to 19 tons of cargo between Las Vegas and London.
