LAFAYETTE, Ind., Nov. 19, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ultimate Sports, Inc. (Pink Sheets:USPS), a manufacturer and supplier to the recreational vehicle industry, announced today that representatives just returned from Green Bay, Wisconsin where they participated in yet another large-scale show presented by Snowmobile USA. This show was a prime opportunity for USI to exhibit its award-winning X2 Skis, which fit onto all the major brand-name snowmobiles, including those made by Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha.
The event was held at the Shopko Exposition Hall, and according to www.snowmobileusa.com, it housed 43,000 square feet of indoor exhibit space with wall-to-wall displays. Alex Debogorski from the hit television series, Ice Road Truckers, made a special guest appearance at the show.
This show strategically took place in the "Valley Market," home to over 54,000 snowmobilers within a 40 mile radius. This past winter's great snowfall, combined with an extensive advertising campaign and a high percentage rate of return customers makes this a well-produced show that brings in the buyers. In addition, this particular show marked the end of the 2009 show and sale circuit, and was therefore tagged as a "last chance to buy," thus increasing booth traffic and encouraging speedy sales. Kevin Metheny, President of Ultimate Sports, states, "This year's attendance remained consistent with last year's show, but a lot more money was spent this year. It is only a two day show, but we were busy both days talking with people and selling our products. Friday night's sales were quick and easily topped last year's figures; Saturday's were also steady. In fact, our numbers were up 35% from last year's Green Bay event. The economy must be on the upswing with such a considerable showing at Novi, Michigan, and now Green Bay, Wisconsin. We are looking for more great things to come in 2009 and 2010."
