MoqiZone Holdings Corporation Announces the Commercial Launch of 802.16d WiMAX Base Station in Suzhou, China
| Source: MoqiZone
SUZHOU, CHINA--(Marketwire - December 1, 2009) - MOQIZONE HOLDINGS CORPORATION (OTCBB : MOQZ ),
a leading digital entertainment delivery platform company that delivers
last mile connectivity to Internet Cafés across China via its proprietary
MoqiZone WiMAX Network, today announced that its first wireless broadband
base station was successfully established in Suzhou. This is the first
commercial usage of a 3.5G WiMAX base station in China (3.5G WiMAX often
refers to spectrum ranging from 3.3GHz - 3.8 GHz).
The Suzhou WiMAX base station installation is the first step in the
build-out of a private network for internet cafés to access MoqiZone games
on its flagship B2C online game portal www.53mq.com. 53mq.com is a digital
entertainment delivery platform that delivers online content and games to
Internet Cafes in China via the proprietary MoqiZone WiMAX Network. The
MoqiZone Network provides content delivery to the viral online gaming
market and connects game players to online content providers utilizing a
national WiMAX network.
The MoqiZone Network utilizes a centrally located base station to
communicate with multiple wireless signal receivers (CPE) installed on the
roof tops of the member cafes of the MoqiZone WiMAX Network. For MoqiZone's
initial roll out of 700 Internet Cafes in Beijing, Chengdu, Tangshan,
Shenzhen and Suzhou, the Company has selected Axxcelera
(http://www.axxcelera.com/) to provide the WiMAX equipment to ensure the
highest quality of data transmission, compatibility and stability. MoqiZone
also plans to roll out the network in Shangdong, Yunnan, Hubei, Hunan,
Guizhou and Guangxi over the next 12 months.
Speaking about the installation, Mr. Ma of Suzhou Golden Apple internet
café said, "The MoqiZone online game joint promotion business model has
demonstrated how MoqiZone provides internet café operators with real cash
benefits based on game card revenue sharing. Our internet café business
will no longer be harmed by the price war of game card distributors."
Through the MoqiZone Network, MoqiZone provides internet café operators
transparent revenue sharing based on the consumption of online game players
in the internet café. Mr. Ma added, "Internet café operators are now able
to offer online game promotions to our end users and now we are guaranteed
to have a share in it."
Mr. Sun Qi, the newly elected Chairman of the Beijing Internet Café
Association (http://www.bjicafe.com/), and Vice President for MoqiZone
commented, "On average each internet café has about 150 PCs and game card
sales are between RMB 10,000 and RMB 15,000 per month. However, the online
game companies project monthly game card sales should be between RMB 30,000
to RMB 50,000 for an internet café with that same number of PCs. MoqiZone
noticed the reason for the discrepancy is that currently 60% to 80% of game
cards sales take place outside of the internet café distribution channels.
Without the revenue from game card sales, Internet café operators have no
incentives to carry out any promotion for online games. Since MoqiZone
shares game card revenue with internet cafés, we believe that MoqiZone is
well positioned to become the biggest online game distribution platform in
the near future."
