COPsync Executes Software License Agreements With Four Law Enforcement Agencies

Law Enforcement Agencies Continue to Recognize Value in the COPsync In-Car Information Sharing Technology

CANYON LAKE, Texas, Jan. 27, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB:COYN), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announces the signing of software license agreements with five additional Law Enforcement Agencies within the State of Texas. Recently, the Vidor Police Department, Brady Police Department, Hudson Police Department, and the Van Zandt Constable Precinct # 4 executed contracts for access to the COPsync(TM) real-time information sharing solution. These agencies will gain valuable access to real-time law enforcement information in a mobile environment as well as the ability to share critical information at the point of incident as crimes are reported and investigated.

According to Lieutenant Jimmy Casper of the Hudson Police Department, “The department is very excited about receiving the COPsync software application and becoming an active member of this information sharing network. Our officers in the field will be armed with the latest technological advances making the officers more efficient, better informed and safer in the field. The ability to share valuable law enforcement information at the point of contact and in a real-time setting is going to be extremely valuable to our department. As more agencies throughout the state come on board, the volume of information available will increase accordingly, providing our officers the information needed to successfully combat crime in our community.”

“The Vidor police department is pleased to announce that we have partnered with COPsync, Inc. This technology solution will provide our department with real-time data collection, standardized data collection, offense reporting, DWI reporting, E-crash reporting, E-citation, law reference library, criminal trespass warning, BOLO database, messenger and email. Our police department selected COPsync due to excellent customer service and ease of operation. The overall package presented was exactly the services necessary to move our department forward with technology,” commented Chief of Police Eric Foerster, Vidor Police Department.

COPsync CEO Russell Chaney stated, “Once Police Departments are educated about the COPsync software and its benefits, the software becomes an obvious choice for the law enforcement agency. As each agency comes aboard the network, it becomes more advantageous for the next agency to join. Obstacles such as in-car connectivity and the lack of technology development tools prevented an application like ours from existing previously, thus creating the lack of information sharing. This lack of information sharing clearly gave the criminal element the advantage. Our goal is to insure a future where all intelligence, criminal, and incident data is shared in real-time directly at the patrol car level, giving the Law Enforcement community back the control that it must have to effectively fight and solve criminal activity. ”

The COPsync software is the first and only integrated software product that provides a real-time in-car, nationwide information-sharing network for law enforcement officers. Via a laptop computer or hand-held device, the user is able to immediately identify criminals, communicate with other officers, and access life saving and mission critical information. Additionally, the software includes data collection interfaces designed to expedite the paperwork process to allow officers to do their job more efficiently.
