COPsync Announces the Signing of Four Software License Agreements With Texas Law Enforcement Agencies

COPsync Continues to Add New Agencies to Its In-Car Information Sharing Portal

CANYON LAKE, Texas, Feb. 9, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB:COYN), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announces the signing of software license agreements with four Texas law enforcement agencies. The Bulverde Police Department, Fisher County Sheriff's Office, Nolan County Sheriff's Office and the 32nd District Attorney's Office executed contracts for access to the real-time information sharing software, COPsync™. Once installed, these agencies' patrol vehicles will become equipped with one of the most advanced real-time law enforcement information sharing software applications on the market. COPsync's in-car technology will allow these departments to share critical information at the point of incident as crimes are reported and investigated in real time.

"As Sheriff of Nolan County, I am very excited about joining the COPsync information network and want to thank our District Attorney, Ann Reed, and the Nolan County Commissioner's Court for making this happen," stated Sheriff David Warren.  "Officer safety was certainly a driving factor in our decision to acquire COPsync.  Officers in the field will now be equipped with the technology to receive TLETS returns directly to their vehicle without relying on dispatch.  Deputies will now have the ability to complete all reports electronically, at the scene of incident, and transmit that information back to the office with the result of them being out on patrol more and spending less time at the courthouse.  This ability will dramatically improve the level of communication while saving time and money.

"The ability to share and receive information in real-time throughout the state with other COPsync officers will make our Deputies in the field safer.  Another feature we are looking forward to receiving is COPsync's Auto Vehicle Locating and Mapping module.  All officer vehicles in the field can now be easily monitored as to their location and current call status.  Our office is pleased to be implementing this technological tool that will improve officer safety and efficiency, and help us provide an even better level of service to the citizens of Nolan County," continued Sheriff Warren.

COPsync CEO Russell Chaney stated, "COPsync, Inc. was launched to fill a large void in the law enforcement community. As a law enforcement professional, I saw firsthand the negative implications associated with the inability of law enforcement agencies to communicate with each other.  Failing to share information and intelligence in real time results in our inability to solve and prevent crimes in real time.  I am pleased to welcome these four new agencies to our real-time information sharing network.  This technology platform assists in eliminating the deficiencies and barriers that prevent law enforcement professionals from successfully accomplishing their mission of protecting their community and keeping their citizens safe."

COPsync, Inc. has positioned itself in the marketplace as a private label OEM Channel Partner to solution providers offering law enforcement technology to Federal, State, County and Municipal law enforcement agencies.  COPsync's focus is to provide a universal mobile data collection user interface to standardize information collection, while concurrently providing real time information sharing, at the point of incident.
