Madison Square Garden Names Joseph Yospe SVP, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer


NEW YORK, Feb. 26, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Madison Square Garden, Inc. (Nasdaq:MSG) today announced it has named Joseph Yospe, CPA, senior vice president, controller and principal accounting officer. In this role Mr. Yospe will be primarily responsible for external financial reporting, accounting processes, accounting policies and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as well as ensuring that the company has the appropriate control environment in place.  He reports to Robert Pollichino, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

For the past 30 years, Mr. Yospe has held positions of increasing responsibility in external financial reporting. Most recently, he was senior vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer of ABM Industries, which he joined in October 2007, where he was responsible for external financial reporting and the company's internal control environment while relocating the accounting functions from San Francisco to New York and Houston. Previously, Mr. Yospe was vice president and assistant controller at the Interpublic Group of Companies from September 2004 to September 2007, where among other responsibilities, he specialized in addressing technical accounting issues. 

Before Interpublic, Mr. Yospe was corporate controller and chief accounting officer for Denmark Stock Exchange-listed Genmab A/S. Mr. Yospe began his career in public accounting with Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Yospe is a certified public accountant, holds an MBA with Honors from the Columbia University School of Business and a BA in economics from Rutgers College.
