Madison Square Garden Names Ari Danes, CFA, Vice President, Investor Relations


NEW YORK, March 17, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Madison Square Garden, Inc. (Nasdaq:MSG) announced today it has named Ari Danes, CFA, to the newly created position of vice president, investor relations. In this role, Mr. Danes will be responsible for the planning and direction of all aspects of investor relations policies, objectives and initiatives including communications with the analyst and investment communities. On an interim basis, Mr. Danes will report to Robert Pollichino, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Most recently, Mr. Danes was an equity research analyst with Pali Capital, covering companies in the media, entertainment and cable sectors including Cablevision, Comcast, Discovery Communications, News Corp., Time Warner, Walt Disney and Viacom. Previously, he was an associate with Citigroup Investment Research from 2005 to 2008, where he covered the radio broadcasting, satellite radio and outdoor advertising sectors. Mr. Danes began his career in 1998 with Goldman Sachs & Co., and advanced from a financial analyst in the Investment Management Division to an associate in Global Investment Research.

Mr. Danes holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University. He currently holds NASD Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 licenses.
