Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Awarded $12.0M Orders From Multiple Customers for RF Microwave Power Amplifiers


MELVILLE, N.Y., June 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc., received orders aggregating $12.0 million addressing the needs of multiple customers for different applications.

The first order was for $6.7 million and was for state-of-the-art high-power Ka-band frequency amplifiers addressing the rapidly growing broadband satellite services market. The second order was for $4.0 million for Ka-band products for commercial Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite services. The third order, which was a follow-on order, was for $1.3 million and was for high-power amplifiers supporting strategic airborne combinations.
