(OTCBB:MDHI), manufacturer of the MediPendant™, the first fully-monitored medical alarm system that allows you to speak and listen directly through the pendant, announced today that it has signed a dealer agreement with SMARTHOMECARE™, to market the Company's premier medical alert device, the MediPendantTM, to homecare providers across the United States.
SMARTHOMECARE™ is a complement to homecare providers for the elderly and impaired. The SMARTHOMECARE™ solution is a state-of-the-art system that uses Samsung video cameras strategically placed in and around the home. The solution is called a SMARTSTATION™ and includes a PC based DVR with proprietary technology, an Internet connection, and a Smart phone. SMARTHOMECARE™ utilizes the SMARTSTATION™ to analyze the environment using the Samsung cameras to constantly be on the lookout for predefined triggers, and to notify homecare staff and/or loved-ones. It also provides a means for remote doctor visits via an Internet-based video teleconferencing system. As part of the agreement, SMARTHOMECARE™ will offer the MediPendant™ as a value-added service, to create a broader and more complete solution.
