KANKAKEE, IL--(Marketwire - August 12, 2010) - Due to the recent appointment of Karen E. Wall to the judiciary, Kankakee personal injury law firm Spiros & Wall, P.C. is announcing a change of the firm's name to Spiros Law, effective on August 12, 2010. Spiros Law will be headed exclusively by founding partner James D. Spiros.
Wall has recently been appointed as an associate judge of the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Vermilion County. The announcement was made by Cynthia Y. Cobbs, director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, in Springfield last month on July 26, according to a recent report from the Champaign News Gazette.
Before receiving this appointment, Wall, along with James D. Spiros, co-founded Spiros & Wall, P.C. in 2005, a firm focused on personal injury law. In 2009 alone, Karen assisted her partner Jim Spiros in obtaining a settlement of $3.3 million in a medical malpractice claim and $1.45 million in a personal injury claim.
Though the practice is changing its name, Spiros seeks to continue the strong tradition of the firm and provide aggressive legal representation to all it serves. Currently, Spiros Law handles cases related to personal injury, medical malpractice, product/premises liability, and wrongful death, among others.
