Revolutions Medical Discusses Presentation of MRI Paper at IPCV and Relevance to Clinical Application Studies


CHARLESTON, S.C., Aug. 20, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Revolutions Medical Corporation ("Revolutions Medical" or the "Company") (OTCBB:RMCP) announces additional details regarding clinical studies and presentation of related MRI paper at IPCV (Image Processing and Computer Vision) by H. Keith Brown, PhD.

Using Revolutions Medical's proprietary MRI software tools these studies will use existing image data from several regional facilities including the Biological Imaging Research Center at the University of Georgia in Athens. Other clinical MRI imaging facilities are being solicited for participation. They will be based on a recent presentation at IPCV in Las Vegas July 2010 (http://www.world-academy-of-Science.org/worldcomp10/ws/conferences/ipcv10) by Dr. Brown and his colleagues. That presentation entitled Brain MRI Image Segmentation using Fuzzy C-Means Clustering is built on an extensive body of work incorporated into the RevColor MRI tool. The clinical studies will explore the applicability of the Revolutions Medical MRI software tools to image diagnostics, with the goal of eventually improving patient outcomes and cost.
