The release incorporates years of experience with the identity, credentialing, and access management for Federal, State, and Local governments, critical infrastructure enterprises, and the emergency response community. Probaris ID 3.0 complies with the standards for Personal Identity Verification Interoperability (PIV-I) as specified in Federal Information Processing Standard 201 (FIPS 201) and the supporting PIV-I documents. The software allows government and industry to issue high assurance, interoperable credentials that meet a wide range of enterprise access and cybersecurity needs. A single interoperable identity credential can be used to better secure networks, applications, devices, and buildings.
Probaris ID 3.0 is available as an end-to-end enterprise solution for PIV and PIV-I credential enrollment, issuance, and lifecycle management. The product is currently deployed in multiple federal enterprises for issuing identity credentials to comply with the HSPD-12 mandate. Probaris ID has recently become available as part of a managed service offering. Customers can now purchase Probaris ID 3.0 on a subscription basis, without the capital expense and hassle of hosting additional secure servers and databases. Through a partnership with a Fortune 50 cybersecurity solution provider, customers can purchase PIV-I credentials based on an Identity as a Service (IDaaS) model.
