Integrated Bank Technology Certifies Digital Check's TS240 Check Scanners for Its Flagship RDC and Integrated Image Teller Product Line

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Dec. 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Digital Check Corp., a leading provider of check scanners for the distributed check capture industry, announced today that Integrated Bank Technology (IBT), a leading innovator of financial services products and best of breed solutions in process innovation and customer experience, has certified the TS240 scanner to offer with its suite of RDC and teller image products.

"IBT is always looking for opportunities to offer innovative products that enhance the customer experience, improve the overall process and make the cost of ownership affordable. The Digital Check partnership and their TS240 product will help us deliver the performance and value we want to continue to offer our customers," stated Mike Golebiowski, president, IBT. Tom Anderson, president of Digital Check added, "We are excited about our growing relationship with IBT. The breadth of their product line and their market position are a great fit for our TellerScan TS240 and CheXpress CX30 product lines. We look forward to great success as we work together."

IBT's certification of the TS240 for its latest branch image product suite, was based upon the product features and performance the scanner offers. The TS240, the 4th generation of Digital Check's TellerScan® line of check scanners, features higher resolution 300 dpi cameras (a 50% increase over the earlier models); a higher capacity 100 document feeder and exit pocket, and an optional franker. The scanner is available in speeds of 50, 75, and 100 documents per minute and features an available inkjet audit trail endorsement feature to address FFIEC compliance or other process requirements.

In addition IBT is certifying Digital Check's recently introduced integrated TS240 scanner/ thermal teller transaction receipt printer module (TTP). This unit consolidates two separate units into a footprint about equal to that of the scanner alone to save valuable teller counter space. The TS240/TTP has functionality to print customer receipts, as well as check images and marketing messages on the receipt, much like those from image-enabled ATMs. Thermal printing has proven to be more functional and cost effective than traditional inkjet printers, eliminating the need to replace expensive cartridges or ribbon, as well as the need for expensive cut sheet paper.
