WILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 16, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WSFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:WSFS), the parent company of WSFS Bank, today announced that Joseph C. Walker has joined WSFS as Senior Vice President and Manager of Commercial Real Estate Lending.

Mr. Walker joins WSFS with over 30 years of banking and commercial real estate experience. He most recently worked for National Penn Bank as Executive Vice President, Director of Commercial Real Estate Lending.

In his new role, Mr. Walker will direct the commercial real estate lending activities in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He will be located in the WSFS Bank headquarters at 500 Delaware Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware.

Mr. Walker graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing. He attended the Southern Methodist University - National Graduate School of Real Estate and the American Institute of Banking. Mr. Walker is a member of the Union League of Philadelphia and a former member of the Building Industry Association of Philadelphia and the Boyertown Rotary Club.
