Digital Check Positions for Added Growth by Combining U.S. Operations

Both Companies Expand Staff and Facilities as the Companies Are United

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 13, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Digital Check Corp (www.digitalcheck.com), a provider of desktop check scanners and remote deposit capture technology to the financial industry worldwide, announced that effective January 1, 2011, it is merging its Rancho Cucamonga, CA based manufacturing and product development subsidiary, Digital Check Technologies with the parent organization. The combined company will operate under the name, Digital Check Corp., maintaining the headquarters in Northbrook, IL.

This move comes amidst the expansion of Digital Check Technologies' manufacturing facilities and production capacity by adding a 4th building to accommodate increasing demand for Digital Check scanners as Digital Check Corp.  reported growth in sales and earnings for 2010.

"The combining of Digital Check Corp. and Digital Check Technologies helps us to continue to offer exceptional customer service and a unified approach to customers," said Tom Anderson, president of Digital Check Corp. "This move will enhance our customer support, and puts our company in an even stronger position as we combine two organizations with robust legacies and tremendous reputations."

Digital Check manufactures all of its scanners in the USA at the California facility. Digital Check was founded in 1959 as Microseal and later acquired Digital Check Technologies (formerly known as Image Capture Technology) in 1989. Together, the companies sold film and document scanners to organizations such as NASA Space Center, Kodak, 3M and other companies. In 1995, Digital Check Technologies developed, produced, and distributed the first in the line of successful teller check scanners, the TS200. Today, the California facility has manufactured and now supports a quarter of a million check scanners worldwide. Glenn Embury, executive vice president of operations at Digital Check added, "We look forward to added synergies and benefits to our customers by bringing the two organizations together into a tighter and more cohesive single company. This will help us be more responsive to our customers and a more forceful presence in the industry."
